By Air: Bomdila has no airport of its own. The nearest airport is Tezpur (Salonibari Airport) in Assam, about 150–160 km away, connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by regional flights. From Tezpur, taxis and buses cover the onward journey. By Rail: The nearest railway station is Rangapara North, about 143–145 km away, from where travelers continue by taxi or bus, taking roughly 4–5 hours. By Road: From Tezpur, Bomdila is about 150–160 km away via the Chariduar-Tawang road, taking around 5–6 hours through winding, sometimes rough mountain roads. From Guwahati, the distance is roughly 280–300 km, taking about 6–8 hours via NH 27 to Tezpur, then NH 15 and NH 13. Bomdila sits conveniently between Bhalukpong (the entry point to Arunachal) and Tawang, making it a natural stopover on the popular Tezpur–Bhalukpong–Bomdila–Tawang circuit. Shared Sumos, state buses, and private taxis connect it to Tezpur and Guwahati regularly. Entry Permits: Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Arunachal Pradesh, obtainable online or from designated offices in Guwahati, Itanagar, or Delhi. Foreign nationals require a Protected Area Permit (PAP) from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
