By Air: Dirang has no airport of its own. The nearest airport is Tezpur (Salonibari Airport), about 86–186 km away, with the nearest international airport being Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, roughly 152–370 km away, well connected to major Indian cities. By Rail: The nearest railway station is Rangapara, about 124–145 km away, or alternatively Bhalukpong (around 190 km), both requiring onward road travel. Guwahati Railway Station offers better long-distance connectivity. By Road: From Bomdila, Dirang is just 41–43 km away, a scenic drive through hairpin turns, taking roughly 1.5–2 hours. From Tezpur, the journey covers about 186–200 km, taking 6–8 hours through winding mountain roads via Bhalukpong and Bomdila. From Guwahati, it's about 152–371 km depending on the route, best covered by state-run buses (APSTC), shared Sumos, or private taxis, which run regularly from Guwahati, Tezpur, Bomdila, and Tawang.
