By Air: Tezu has its own small airport, mainly used for charter and limited commercial flights, with daily connections from Guwahati via FlyBig Airlines. However, the nearest major commercial airport is Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh, Assam, about 150 km away, well connected to Kolkata, Guwahati, Itanagar, and Delhi. By Rail: The nearest railway station is New Tinsukia Junction in Assam, offering cross-country connectivity via Northeast Frontier Railway. From Tinsukia, it's roughly a 1.5–2 hour taxi ride to Tezu. By Road: From Dibrugarh, Tezu is about 150 km away, taking roughly 4–5 hours by taxi or private vehicle. From Guwahati, expect a longer journey via Tinsukia, with Arunachal Pradesh State Transport (APST) and Assam State Transport buses running daily services. From Itanagar, the road distance is around 380 km, taking about 9–10 hours. Local taxis, shared jeeps, and Sumo/Winger mini-buses connect Tezu to nearby villages and border points like Kibithoo, Dong, and Kaho. Local Highlights: Don't miss Parshuram Kund, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site drawing thousands during Makar Sankranti; Glow Lake, a scenic glacial lake reached via a day trek from Wakro; Hawa Camp on the Lohit River; and Dong Valley, famed as the easternmost point where India's sun rises first.
