By Air: The nearest airport is Lengpui Airport in Aizawl, the only operational airport in Mizoram, well connected to Kolkata, Guwahati, Imphal, and Delhi via connecting flights. From the airport, travelers continue by taxi or bus to Thenzawl. By Rail: Mizoram has no railway network reaching Thenzawl directly. The nearest railway stations are in Assam — Silchar (about 180–225 km) and Bairabi (about 145 km) — from where travelers continue by road via Aizawl. By Road: From Aizawl, Thenzawl is about 137 km away, taking roughly 3–4 hours by taxi or regular state buses along the Aizawl–Lunglei Road. Thenzawl sits at the tri-section of Aizawl–Serchhip–Lunglei roads, so transport options are abundant, with Serchhip just 30–32 km away and Lunglei about 80 km. Regular Mizoram State Government buses ply this route, making it easily accessible for budget travelers as well. Handloom & Local Highlights: Visit local handloom and handicraft centers to see Mizo weavers at work and shop for authentic Puanchei shawls and traditional textiles, then head to Vantawng Falls (5–18 km away) and the nearby Tuirihiau Falls, or unwind at the Thenzawl Golf Resort.
